The awareness programme on Financial Literacy in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India was hosted by Don Bosco Senior Secondary School on 27^th February 2025 at 9.30 a.m. The dignitaries on the dais were Mr.Gopinath Muthukad (Chief Guest), Mr. KB Sreekumar (DGM, RBI, TVM), Mr. T V Rao (Officer in-charge, RBI, Kochi), Mr. S A Ravishankar (DGM, RBI, Kochi), Rev. Fr. Shibu Davis sdb (Rector and Manager), Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Shasthamkala sdb (Principal) and Mr. Praveen Jolly ( PTA President).

Mr. KB Sreekumar (DGM, RBI, TVM) welcomed everyone focusing on the importance of financial literacy. He said that magic can be the best way to communicate the message of financial stability to the student community. Mr. T V Rao (Officer in-charge, RBI, Kochi) inaugurated the function asking everyone to be safe and vigilant.  He also presented the memento to Mr. Gopinath Muthukad the Chief Guest. Rev Fr Shibu Davis (Rector and Manager) thanked the team from RBI for selecting Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Vaduthala to conduct such a meaningful venture.  Mrs. Sreerangini C (AGM, RBI, Kochi) delivered the vote of thanks.

The formal function was followed by the magic show by Mr. Gopinath Muthukad. The points conveyed through the performance could be summarized as follows:

• There is nothing like digital arrest.
• Never share your password, OTP or PIN.
• Avoid pubic Wi-Fi for banking.
• Do not click on the links or messages from unknown senders.
• CASH is all about Caution, Action, Safety and Handling.

The transcending performance by Mr. Gopinath Muthukad left the audience spell bound. Each trick had an important lesson to convey. He concluded the performance assuring that India will always remain safe in the hands of the future generation.
