Stories Stepped Off the Pages

As part of Reading Week, the assembly held on June 24 turned into a living library as students brought beloved literary characters to life. Alice wandered in from Wonderland; Harry Potter arrived from Hogwarts; Tom Sawyer left the banks of the Mississippi; while Madhavikutty, Pathumma, Karuthamma, Hori Mahato, Hamid, and Kabuliwala journeyed from the timeless pages of Indian literature. For a few magical moments, books were no longer resting on shelves, they stood before us, speaking, smiling, and reminding us of the endless worlds hidden within every page.
