On 5th June 2026, Don Bosco Senior Secondary School observed World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm under the global theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”
The programme was graced by Ms. Nissa A. and Mr. D. B. Binu as the Guests of Honour. A major highlight of the celebration was the sapling planting ceremony, where the guests and student representatives planted vegetable saplings, symbolizing collective responsibility towards nature. A Sapling Exchange Programme was also conducted, and around 50 saplings were distributed among students to encourage greenery at home and in the community.
The celebration also featured an Eco-Friendly Fashion Show, Terrarium Making Competition, and Tableau Presentation, through which students creatively conveyed messages on environmental conservation, climate action, and sustainable living. The programme served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of protecting nature for a better future.
