1. Working hours: 08.00-02.45pm.
2. Formal uniform every day, except on Wednesday. On every Wednesday, wear house T-shirt
   & track pant. Wear house T-shirt & track pant only after the house inauguration.
3. Fill up and give back ‘student profile sheet’ to the class teacher on or before Friday.

4. Please fill up page number 5 & 6 in the school diary. Affix stamp size photo. It is very
   essential to identify the child.
5. All the books should be properly covered and labelled.
6. All the belongings of the child like tiffin box, water bottle, umbrella, raincoat and school
   bag should be labelled.
7. Check the school diary every day. All information will be written on the diary.
8. The first break will be at 9:15 am and the second break will be at 1:00 pm. Please send
   breakfast for the first break and lunch for the second break. Kindly send only healthy
   food. Don’t over stuff the lunch box. Please send a snack towel every day.
9. During rainy season children are allowed to wear black sandals.
10. Children are requested to come to school neatly dressed in full uniform. Hair should be
    neatly combed and nails should be trimmed. Handkerchief should be sent every day.
11. Gold ornaments are not allowed. Avoid bangles, hanging earrings, pearl chains etc.
12. Only black hairbands and clips are permitted.
13. Keep an extra dress and innerwear in the bag compulsorily.
14. Parents should sign the sheet every day before taking the child back home.
15. Inform the class teacher if someone else is coming to pick the child in your absence.
16. If child is absent, should mark the reason for absence in the absence record. If child is
    absent for more than three days you should inform the vice principal & class teacher.
17. Child should be toilet trained.
18. Saturdays are not working days for KG section.
19. If the child is not well kindly don’t sent him/her to the class.
20. If your child has any health issues or taking any medicines, kindly inform the class teacher.
21. During class time you are not allowed to meet the teachers – meet them during lunch
    interval or after 03.00pm.
22. If you want to take your child during the class hours, you must get permission from the Vice
    Principal.
23. Should inform the class teacher about the transportation. Teacher should know the person
    who is taking the child from the class after school hours.
    

Swimming instructions

• PRE-KG & LKG will have training in swimming on all Fridays and UKG will have it on all
  Wednesdays.
• Swimming suits and accessories will be provided from the school on payment.
• On swimming days, children should come wearing swim suit under the uniform. Kindly
  avoid innerwear under the swim suit.
• Goggles, cap, bath towel and inner wears should be labelled and send in a small bag.
• Children can wear black sandals on swimming days.

08.30am : Be seated in the Auditorium (Parent & Child)
09.00am : Inaugural ceremony
10.30am : Visit to the classroom, attendance, instruction by class teacher
11.30am : Departure Home with parents

Please bring the school diary; snacks and water for children.

Students must wear formal school uniform.

ON THURSDAY & FRIDAY (5th & 6th June)

Working hours: From 08.00am-11.30am for PRE-KG, LKG & UKG.
Parents must collect the children from the school after the class.

FROM MONDAY (09/06/2025)

Working hours: 08.00am-02.45pm
The school buses will leave the campus at 03.00pm daily.

School bus will be available from Monday (09/06/2025) for those who have
submitted bus application.
Bus card will be issued to the bus travelers.

Please get ready with two stamp size photos for the profile sheet.

World Environment Day – June 5, 2025

Dear Parents and Students,
On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5, 2025) Don Bosco Senior Secondary School is
pleased to announce the following events. This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness
and creativity among young minds.

COMPETITIONS:

The following competitions are open to students from Class 1 to Class12, with participants grouped
into four categories for each competition.

1. Environment day Badge making Competition:
   Theme: Combating plastic pollution
   Keep design simple and within the limit 5cm x 5cm.
   Category III: Class VIII – X
   Category IV: Class XI-XII
   
2. Recycled artwork Competition:
   Encourages students to create innovative products (maximum 2 items) using recycled materials.
   Category I: Class I – IV
   Category II: Class V-VII

Date of Submission: 04 June 2025.
Submit your works to your class teacher.

Outstanding entries will be rewarded with attractive prizes. Let your creativity and concern for the
planet shine through your words and art!

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY PLANT EXCHANGE

Join us on June 5, 2025, as we celebrate World Environment Day with a Plant Exchange Day!

How to Participate:

1. Bring a sapling or plant (ornamental, medicinal, fruit-bearing, etc.) that’s properly rooted and
   well-watered.
2. Keep your plant in your classroom.
3. After the inaugural session, exchange plants with your friends under the supervision of your
   class teacher.

Summer Holiday

Dear Parents & Students,

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Summer vacation starts on 29/03/2025. Publication of results on Monday 07/04/2025 through
   careerbook ERP.
2. Reception of application for Transfer Certificate, if any on or before 22/03/2025.
3. Issuance of TC on Thursday 10/04/2025.
4. The school is scheduled to reopen on Monday 02/06/2025.
5. KG Classes scheduled to begin on Wednesday 04/06/2025.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

1. Readymade uniform items will be provided as per the requirements and size. Hence the
   students along with the parents must come to collect the uniform, house T-shirt, track pant,
   belt, socks, tie, etc.
2. House T shirt and track pants are to be bought by all the students as there will be change in the house, pattern and model in the materials.
3. Make payment at the time of delivery of goods.
4. An approximate amount for school supplies will be communicated later.
5. Photos for ID card will be taken for the students of LKG, Std. I & all new admissions, in new
   school uniform. Hence parent must ensure your child is with you for the same.

SCHOOL FEE

1. School fee is to be paid in FOUR instalments for the academic year 2025-2026. A fine of
   Rs.100/- will be collected for each instalment if paid late.
2. Payment through Federal bank, online or offline.
3. If through offline (bank challan) the bank charge is Rs. 50/-.
4. If through online (Debit card, Master card, Visa card) transaction fee applies. However UPI
   and interbank transfers are not chargeable. (You can pay from any bank and any branch)
5. The school copy of paid challan and online payment receipt to be submitted to the school
   office on or before the due dates.
6. First instalment of fee to be paid before collecting the textbooks. Use the school software
   “careerbook” to make the online payment.

TEXTBOOK DISTRIBUTION

1. Textbooks & school diary to be collected from the school store on the dates mentioned below.
2. Approximate amount for the same will be communicated later.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

1. Bus users have to submit bus application form in the school office on the day uniform/ house
   T-shirt is purchased. This is required to arrange systematically the schedule and route for the
   school bus.
2. Bus fee also to be paid in FOUR installments.
3. Students availing bus facility is provided with BUS ID CARD. It is to be carried along daily.
4. For new bus route meet Principal on or before 28/03/2025.

Semester 2 Examinations

The second semester examinations begin on Friday 14 th March 2025. Exam is compulsory for all students.

It is mandatory that the students have the hall ticket in order to write the examinations.
Hall tickets will be issued to students on Friday 7th March 2025.
It will be issued to students only on payment of pending school and transport fee.

Kindergarten graduation ceremony

Dear Parents & Students,
The Kindergarten graduation ceremony of our UKG students will be conducted on 1
^st March 2025, Saturday at 09.30am. May I request all the parents to go through the
instructions given below for the smooth conduct of the programme.

1. Reporting time: 08.00am (Parents & Students)
2. Dress code of students:
   • UKG – Formal uniform with ID Card
   • LKG – Cultural programme costume
3. Class wise convocation photo for UKG will be arranged by the school, soon after
   the programme. A hard copy of the same will be given to all the students.
4. Attendance on Convocation Day is compulsory for UKG and LKG students.
5. UKG students are requested to pay Rs.300/- for the convocation ceremony.
6. Parents are requested to be seated in the auditorium from 08.00am after dropping
   the children in the junior school.
7. Students should have breakfast at home and come to school.

Financial literacy awareness programme
