The Department of Science and in collaboration with the Department of Social Science organised a webinar on the topic Forest: The Lungs of Nature by Ms Anjana N (PhD Scholar, KFRI Peechi) under the guidance of Dr A V Raghu (Sr.Scientist, KFRI) and Dr Syam Viswanath (Director, KFRI).Students of classes VIII to XII participated in the webinar.
The webinar put forward discussion areas starting from the definition of forest to the need of protecting the forests for future generations. She explained the significant role of Western Ghats and also the causes and ill effects of deforestation.
